# Automation outsourcing checklist

Ask before you sign and again before handover. Record each answer and its owner. No passwords, keys, or customer records here.
Planning aid, not legal advice. Access (who can open or run files) is separate from rights or license (what you may do with the work); put rights, license, reusable components, and handover deliverables in the written agreement.
For tools other than Google Apps Script, ask which identity runs each job and which platform limits apply.

## Five questions

1. **Deliverables and acceptance:** files, setup notes, settings to keep, written acceptance test with test data.
   Answer: ________________________________ Owner: __________
2. **Access vs rights and license:** where files live and who has access; rights or license and reusable components in the agreement.
   Answer: ________________________________ Owner: __________
3. **Data destinations:** files read and written; outside services, fields sent, whose account and key.
   Answer: ________________________________ Owner: __________
4. **Account, limits, costs:** account that owns files and installable triggers after handover; limits; partial-run handling; ongoing costs and payer.
   Answer: ________________________________ Owner: __________
5. **Failure, maintenance, exit:** failure notice and recipient; safe re-run; maintenance scope; what we receive at exit.
   Answer: ________________________________ Owner: __________

## Handover, in order

- [ ] Files and setup notes received, matching the agreement
- [ ] Contractor deleted the installable triggers they created (we cannot see them in our trigger list)
- [ ] Replacement triggers created and authorized from an account the business controls
- [ ] Contractor access removed or reduced; keys or logins they controlled replaced
- [ ] After those changes, a real scheduled run or form submission is confirmed with test data (a manual function run does not count)
